Background
Growing up I had a great desire be teacher, leader and "talker" (not knowing that meant speaker. There has never been a job assignment, professional affiliation or family/friends gathering where much of that was displayed. However, it took going through a serious Career Counseling season to learn that professional training, College Adjunct Faculty and professional speaking would become a life long aspect of my life in one form or another.

Personality
Having taken two major personality assessments over the years, it would help to share those findings first.
DISC Assessment Findings - Strongest I (Influencer) D (Dominant) Following those is S (Steadiness) and my weakest is C (Conscientiousness). They show what I believe I am and much of what others identify me as. Below are some characteristics of each.
I = influence TOP PREFERENCE
An emphasis on influencing or persuading others. Tendency: enthusiastic, optimistic, open, trusting, and energetic.
D = Dominance 2nd Top Preference (Above Mid line)
An emphasis on accomplishing results and “seeing the big picture.” Tendency: confident, sometimes blunt, outspoken, and demanding.
BELOW THE MIDLINE
S = Steadiness
An emphasis on cooperation, sincerity, loyalty, and dependability. Tendency: calm, deliberate dispositions, don’t like to be rushed.
C = Conscientiousness (My weakest)
An emphasis on quality and accuracy, expertise and competency. They enjoy their independence, demand details, and often fear being wrong.

Connections
Born into a family of a total of 7 children along with 2 additional nephews raised by my mother and father. The neat thing is that they came in segments. The first 3, included me along with a sister nearly 2 years older and a brother nearly 2 years younger. The 2nd set (12+ years later) included a brother nearly 2 years older than my sister. The last set (20+ years later than the 1st) included a brother and sister nearly 2 years apart along with 2 nephews nearly 2 years matching in age with my sister and brother). Each set has their own growing up stories.
