Dental tech by trade. 1913 member, Polcs’ye Russian Social-Democratic Workers ’Party (Bolsheviks) Committee. Several times arrested.
1914 arrested while printing political proclamations, sentenced and deported to Angara Kray. After 1917 February Revol worked for Gomel Russian Social-Democratic Workers ’Party (Bolsheviks) Organisation 1918 chairman. Samara City Party Committee.
Helped crush counter-revol uprising. As the Czechoslovakian Legion advanced on Samara, went underground but was soon arrested and tortured (right hand paralysed). Released from prison by Red Army.
1919 worked for Samara Province Russian Communist Party (Bolsheviks) Committee. Then served on Polish Front. 1921 secretary Gomel’ Province Party Committee.
1923 secretary, Odessa Province Party Committee. 1924-1925 worked for organisation and distribution organs of Central Committee, All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks). 1925 elected secretary, Tatar Oblast Party Committee.
1928-1932 secretary, Centr Volga Kray Party Committee. 1933 elected secretary, Dnepropetrovsk Oblast Party Committee. Also secretary and Political Bureau member, Central Committee, Communist Party (Bolsheviks) Ukraine.
Member, Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics Central Executive Committee. Delegation at 8th-17th Party Congresses. At 14th All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks) Congress elected member, Centr Auditing Commission.
At 15th Party Congress elected candidate member, Central Committee, All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks). At 16th and 17th Congresses elected member, Central Committee, All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks). At 12th and 13th Ukraine Party Congresses elected member, Central Committee, Communist Party Ukraine.
1937 arrested by State Security organs.
