During the seventies her mom was the Head of the Elementary School of El Nasr School Heliopolis, Egypt (ex-The English School, Cairo). Amin"s first fame came when she starred with Abdel Halim Hafez in his last film, Abi Foq El Chagara (My Father Is Up the Tree). From there she became one of the most successful Egyptian actors in the 1970s and early 1980s during which she starred in many Egyptian films.

She was the second wife of Egyptian guitarist Omar Khorshid, as well as the second wife of the famous Egyptian actor Hussein Fahmy between 1974 and 1986.
