Background
Dr. Mete Feridun is a Senior Supervisor at the Bank of England's Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA), where he is responsible for the supervision of a portfolio of leading international banks operating in the UK. He holds ACCA Certificate in International Auditing, CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting, IMF Certificate in Macroeconomic Forecasting. After graduating from high school in Cyprus, Dr. Feridun was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to study in the United States, where he obtained a BSc in Finance degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2002, graduating as a Magna Cum Laude and Provost Scholar. In 2003 he obtained an MSc degree in Banking and International Finance from Cass Business School in 2003. He then attended Loughborough University Business school, obtaining a PhD in Economics in 2008. Dr. Feridun was appointed as an Assistant Professor in 2009 and as an Associate Professor in 2012. He has served as a lecturer and as a visiting researcher at University of Greenwich, Merrick School of Business, University of Baltimore, University of Missouri St Louis, Eastern Mediterranean University, University of Loughborough, and Cyprus International University. In 2013 he served as the programme leader for BSc Hons Economics and BSc Hons Economics with Banking at the Department of International Business and Economics at the University of Greenwich Business School. Dr. Feridun has also served as a consultant to international organisations including USAID, World Bank, and European Commission and has been a fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy (FHEA) since 2011. He has over 100 scientific publications and conference presentations on financial market dynamics and financial regulation, which have received over 550 citations.
