active in the direction of several nonprofit institutions as board member and chair including graduate schools at ucla, my st mary’s college and otis college of design and planning. among the most significant contributions was accomplished while president of the friends of the schindler house and providing funding for its purchase and preservation until awarded a major preservation grant from the state of california.
further innovative work included the relocation and master plan for otis college and as the first campus architect and planner for the newest cal state university and campus- csuci channel islands. where the several hundred acre former state mental facility was converted and expanded into an advanced center for higher education.
