Michael-Ryan Fletchall is an American film and television producer, entrepreneur, and investor.
Background
Fletchall was born in San Angelo, Texas, the son of Howard Brandow, a chief mechanic for Continental Airlines, and Katherine Marcalee Woods, a painter and small business owner. Before Fletchall turned one, his mother divorced and married Joseph Fletchall, a corporate pilot.
Education
In Texas he attended Clear Creek High School where he focused on theater acting.
Career
He is the chief executive officer of Experience Media Studios, an entertainment media company based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. He has one older brother, Bryan. Throughout his early teens, Fletchall made amateur movies with his family"s VHS camcorder using his friends as actors.
Much of his later teen years were spent moving between Colorado Springs, Colorado and suburbs of Houston, Texas.
During his senior year Fletchall got a part-time job as a weekend news camera operator for KKTV, a local Columbia Broadcasting System affiliate. A few months later he was hired on full-time as an on-air switcher and segment director
After graduating from Mitchell High School in 1995, Fletchall moved to Seattle, Washington to work at Northwest Cable News, a regional news network that produces news coverage and programming for Washington, Idaho, Oregon, and parts of Canada. Fletchall then moved to Los Angeles to work in filmmaking.
He formed MiRydea Entertainment, Incorporated., building editing and sound facilities for production companies and studios including Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. He also began operating telescopic camera cranes through Panavision, which he continued for the next decade.
In 2006 he founded Mediusphere Company, a communications and technology organization. During 2007, he developed a television show and produced projects for American Eagle Outfitters with Russian Cundiff and Milo Ventimiglia at Divide Pictures. In October 2008, Fletchall was invited to attend the Middle East International Film Festival in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
At the festival he was approached to launch and head a new movie and television studio in the emerging United Arab Emirates media industry.
Two months later Fletchall moved his family to the United Arab Emirates, and in January 2009 Experience Media Studios launched in the newly formed Abu Dhabi media zone.
