Career
He played for the Gold Coast Blue Tongues, formally known as the Brisbane Blue Tongues, of the Australian Ice Hockey League and represented Australia at the World Championships. Gough first played for the Brisbane Blue Tongues of the Australian Ice Hockey League in 2005. During his first season he competed in 24 games, scoring 13 goals and 10 assists and finishing with a total of 76 penalties in minutes.
The following year Gough didn"t sign with the Blue Tongues however returned to their roster for the start of the 2007 season.
Gough managed to play only 18 games in his second season, recording only 12 points. The following year he re-signed with the Blue Tongues following their move to the Gold Coast.
Gough didn"t start the season for the Blue Tongues as he was still serving a two-game carry-over suspension from the previous season. He then returned to Canada to complete his university degree, failing to compete in any games for the 2008 season.
Gough has since retired from ice hockey.
Gough received his first and only call up to represent Australia in 2008 where he joined the national senior team to compete in the 2008 IIHF World Championship Division II Group B tournament being held in Newcastle, Australia. Gough finishing the tournament with two goals and an assist in his five games. Gough was born on 9 July 1978 in Nowra, New South Wales, Australia.
