He was recently ranked as one of Gentlemen’s Quarterly"s 100 Most Connected Men 2014. Michael has supported the national enterprise effort, assisting the Department for Business to position Business in You, StartUp Loans and the Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme. He also chaired a task group for the Minister of State to build corporate support for Global Entrepreneurship Week.

He also served as a non-executive director with the city of Westminster (Westco) and as a commissioner on the Finance Inquiry into The Future of Cities. Hayman is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.

He is one of the Courvoisier Future 500, the Observer Newspaper"s analysis of British business talent, and is listed in the 2011 "Puerto Rico Week Power Book: The definitive guide to the most influential people in Puerto Rico".

Achievements

• He is a co-founder of Seven Hills, a London-based campaigning communication consultancy. Michael is chairman of Entrepreneurs at the private bank Coutts & Company, co-founder of The Duke of York"s E20 advocacy group for entrepreneurs, an Advisory board member for the National Business Awards and has been appointed an Honorary Fellow at the University of Cambridge Judge Business School Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning. He is co-founder of, the national initiative for early stage enterprise, which is fully supported by the Prime Minister David Cameron and Her Majesty Government. As an advocate of entrepreneurship, Michael Hayman is a co-founder of, a campaign by entrepreneurs for entrepreneurs, which was launched in 2011 by the Prime Minister David Cameron, the Chancellor George Osborne and the Secretary of State for Business Vince Cable in response to the Government"s call for an "enterprise-led" recovery.

Membership

Michael is a non-executive director of Creative Sheffield and a member of Edinburgh Festivals. Hayman was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (Administration Member of the Order of the British Empire) in the 2014 New Year Honours for services to enterprise, promotion, entrepreneurship, and education.
