Career
Michael Lynn began his writing career on a reboot of a popular series on ABC. In 1992, he started in the Legal and Business Affairs department of Miramax Films in New York City. He was quickly promoted to script reading and development. In 1995, Mr. Lynn moved on to New Line Cinema, where he utilized his screenplay evaluation skills and legal knowledge to recommend scripts and help with brand development and intellectual property (IP) rights acquisition. He also worked on special projects with Fine Line Cinema.
In 2000, Michael Lynn moved to Nevada, where he served as a writer for CourtTV and contributed to the production of The Aristocrats as an Associate Producer. In the latter role, Mr. Lynn oversaw budgeting, dubbing, scheduling, and 2nd unit directing duties. He also wrote a number of books and screenplays during this time.
In 2008, Michael Lynn moved to California and entered the game industry as a Writer/Game Designer for Amaze Entertainment. While working at Amaze, Mr. Lynn contributed to the creation of Web of Shadows, a Spider-Man game; X-Men: Origins, a Wolverine game; and a number of original IP projects. Concurrently, Michael Lynn served as a Freelance Writer with 2K Sports, another video game company.
Mr. Lynn subsequently joined Zynga, where he held the role of Narrative Designer. In this position, Michael Lynn wrote content for a variety of Zynga games before eventually moving on to Telltale Games. At Telltale, Michael Lynn works as an Interactive Story Designer, contributing to games such as the Walking Dead, Minecraft: Story Mode, and Tales from the Borderlands. Mr. Lynn has also run his own freelance writing business since 2005, providing content production services to Bravo, the Sci-Fi Channel, Showtime, and a variety of other media companies, in addition to writing content, creating dialogue, and assisting with voice over casting for video games.
