He is currently co-host of the American Broadcasting Company"s American Broadcasting Company News Breakfast weekdays alongside Virginia Trioli. Rowland was previously North America correspondent and during his posting covered stories including the election of Barack Obama as United States President, the outbreak of the global financial crisis, the Virginia Technical massacre and David Hicks release from Guantanamo Bay. Before going to the United States, Michael was Lateline"s finance correspondent and also covered business and economics for a range of other American Broadcasting Company television and radio outlets.
In May 2010, Rowland was appointed co-host of American Broadcasting Company News Breakfast replacing Joe O"Brien.
