Michael Siede received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1974 from Florida State University, Tallahassee, and a Master of Fine Arts in 1978 from the Tyler School of Art and Architecture at Temple University, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
In the 1980s Michael Siede was the gallery director at Atlanta College of Art, Georgia. He taught at both the Art Institute of Atlanta and Tyler School of Art and Architecture in 1978. Michael Siede is a member of Access Atlanta, a nonprofit video production company. In 1976 he directed and edited the film Archaeology of the Grand French Battery.
