Michael Wachtler, Italian geophysicist, researcher, film director, writer. Achievements include discovery of two new primitive species of conifers; discovery of a new kind of dinosaur named Megachirella wachtleri; discovery of arguably oldest assured petrified relics of this species in the Dolomites; first to the arguably biggest gold finding of the Alps in Brusson in the Aosta Valley.
