Achievements include development of technique of spectral blueshifting for measuring femtosecond time scale ionization and plasma dynamics, first slow-motion movie on femtosecond time scale, showing melting and evaporation of photoexcited silcon surface; measurement of extensive two-photon absorption spectra of rare earth ions in crystals and solutions, dielectric properties of liquid phase of carbon.
