Dooley, Michael F. was born on December 1, 1852 in New Britain, Connecticut, United States. Son of Timothy and Mary (Birney) Dooley.


Bachelor of Arts, Fordham University, 1872, Doctor of Laws, 1922. Studied St. Sulpice, Paris, 1872-1874.


Chairman Board of Assessors, Hartford, Connecticut, 1880-1887. Nat. bank examiner, 1887-1890, for Rhode Island and Connecticut, 1893-1899. Receiver of First National Bank of Willimantic, Connecticut, 1895-1899.

Vice president Union Trust Company of Providence, Rhode Island, 1899-1908. President National Exchange Bank of Providence, 1908-1925. Chairman of the Board, 1925-1926, bank purchased, 1926, by Industrial Trust Company, of which was vice-president and director until early in 1934, when resigned both offices.
