Work has focussed on functioning of labour markets with particular reference to interindustry wage determination, differential unemployment, labour force behaviour of different age-sex groups, and the impact of immigration on secondary labour markets. Related research has focussed on the estimation of equilibrium unemployment rates and potential output. Projects have focussed on shortand long-run fluctuations in productivity growth and new law and economics approaches to collective bargaining.
