Career
Breuer started his professional career with Excelsior Rotterdam. In Summer 2004 he moved to South Carolina Heerenveen. He became captain of the Heerenveen team at the start of the 2008-2009 Eredivisie season.
He previously worked at a local secondary school in Heerenveen as a security guard.
In July 2012 Breuer left Heerenveen after eight years and signed with Nippon Electric Corporation from Nijmegen. In January 2014, he was sent on loan to Sparta Rotterdam.
After his contract had expired in June 2014, he signed a permanent deal with Sparta.
