He was the Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs in the Fouad Siniora government. He ran on the list of late Rafik Hariri. He was born in Beirut in 1959.
He received a degree in economics from Saint Joseph University in 1980 before earning an Master of Business Administration from the University of Paris in 1981.
He heads several boards of directors including the Mednet insurance company and the Commerce du Levant magazine. He is a scion of the wealthy and influential Melkite Greek Catholic Pharaon Family, grandnephew of Henri Philippe Pharaoun.
He is a member of the Lebanese Parliament.
