Senator for Pas-de-Calais, 1965, re-elected 1974 and 1983. Deputy Mayor of Arras, 1965-1971. Regional Councillor since 1974, and Vice-Chairman of Regional Council for Nord-Pas-de-Calais, 1979-1983.
