Career
A High School drop-out, she worked a series of low-wage jobs while earning her General Educational Development. Embree then attended McKendree College in Lebanon, Illinois, graduating in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Psychology. Her novel, Manstealing for Fat Girls, was nominated for a 2004 Lambda Award for "Debut Lesbian Fiction.".
