On the 2015 WCT season, Pupo finished in 27th place, outside of the top 22 surfers that maintain a spot on the WCT for the next season. Not requalifying through the WCT, Pupo guaranteed his spot on the 2016 WCT season by finishing in 4th on the 2015 World Qualifying Series (WQS) season. Victories
