Earning a match official accreditation from Fédération internationale de football association on passing the final exam to become the International football referee full-time by replacing the retired referee Jaime Herrera Garduno in August 2011. Prior moving up to the Mexican Primera Division, he has refereeing 23 matches in the Mexican Primera "A" for two seasons. On March 11, 2007 - his first official as referee in the match between Lobos BUAP & Cruz Azul Hidalgo, the result was Cruz Azul Hidalgo defeating Lobos, 4-2.
In Torneo Apertura 2009, Flores Rodriguez making its 1st soccer match in the Mexican Primera Division while Benito Archundia was the 4th Official in that soccer game, the result was a 0-0 draw.
