  • Achievements include first spectroscopic proof of the breakdown of the passivating layer on iron in alkaline solution by carbonation. Demonstration of the instability of the potentiometric response of silver/silver chloride sensors for on site monitoring chloride contents in concrete. Demonstration of the possibility of eliminating the filtration step of the analytical procedure for determining chloride contents in cement and concrete by potentiometric titration.

    Development of a method for measuring the chloride diffusion coefficient through concrete partially saturated of moisture.
