Mihail Ivanovich Kleyner

Background

Mihail Ivanovich Kleyner was born on September 2, 1823 in Simbirsk,(now Ulyanovsk), Russian Federation.

Education

He graduated from Forestry and Surveying Institute in the city of Saint-Petersburg (1845).

Career

Mihail Ivanovich was an assistant architect of Commission on the elevation of Voronezh Mikhailovsky cadet corps (1845-1851). He was a city architect in 1847-1848 and 1851-1859.

Kleyner coordinated botanical garden organization works (1846). Castle prison on the edge of town was built (1856-1858) and Church of the Epiphany was reconstructed (1854-1855, 25th October Street, 17-а) on his draft. Kleyner supervised the construction of wooden bridge across the Voronezh River (1858, project is implemented by L.S. Myslovsky), he was conducting repairs and homes’ adaptation to prison half-companies (1858-1859).
