He was drafted by the San Diego Padres in the 18th round of the 1986 draft, and he would play in their farm system until 1994. In his nine-year career, he hit.246 with 31 home runs and 224 Reserve Bank of India. He was the hitting coach for the Las Vegas Stars in 1995, and he also managed in the minors that year. He was an advance scout for the Padres in 2001-2002, and after the 2006 season, he was named coordinator of minor league instruction by the Toronto Blue Jays.
