Career
In 2013, Bushell competed in the British Touring Carolina Championship for the first time, driving for Intellectual Property Technical Race Engineering in their Chevrolet Cruze NGTC car at Knockhill in place of Andy Neate. He returned to the series in 2015, after winning the Renault Clio Cup United Kingdom in 2014. Bushell began his career in karting in 2004, before graduating to the Ford Fiesta System Technologies Championship in 2011.
He switched to the Renault Clio Cup United Kingdom for 2012, taking a single podium on his way to finishing eleventh overall, with 146 points, and fourth in the Rookie Cup.
He joined Scuderia Vittoria for the 2013 Renault Clio Cup United Kingdom season, Having qualified on pole for the first race of the season, held at the Brands Hatch Industry Circuit, he took a third and a ninth in the two races of the weekend. In August 2013, it was announced that Bushell would be replacing Andy Neate for the Knockhill round of the British Touring Carolina Championship.
He took 18th in race one, 17th in race two, and was running in the points in the third race before retiring due to a collision. Bushell returned to the Clio Cup following the event, but, although he did briefly gain backing from the KX Academy, he ended the season in 15th place.
In November 2013, it was announced that he would be joining 20Ten Racing for the 2014 Clio Cup season, with Josh Cook as his teammate.
Cook went on to race for SV Racing though, with Bushell competing with reigning champions Team Pyro. Complete British Touring Carolina Championship results
