Dr. Mike Feinberg, a pioneering figure in education reform, currently serves as President and Co-Founder of Texas School Venture Fund (TXSVF) and Career For All. These organizations aim to expand educational opportunities by increasing the number and diversity of high-quality schools in communities seeking more options.
Feinberg's career began after graduating from the University of Pennsylvania in 1991 when he joined Teach For America, teaching bilingual fifth grade in Houston. His passion for education led him to co-found innovative charter school networks, significantly impacting public education across the United States.
Career For All, under Feinberg's leadership, has incubated several educational initiatives, including Eastex Jensen Neighborhood School, Westchase Neighborhood School, WorkTexas adult trade school, and the Shawn M. Hurwitz Fellowship for education leaders. In 2005, he spearheaded the creation of NOW College Prep, a school for Hurricane Katrina evacuees, demonstrating his commitment to educational access in times of crisis.
