Career
Although he played for five different teams during his career, he is best known for having punted for the Denver Broncos during their Super Bowl runs of the 1980s, and with the Saint Louis Rams in their Super Bowl XXXIV victory (this was also Horan"s last NFL game). He tied the career record for most punts in Super Bowls with 17 total. Horan was selected to the Pro Bowl after the 1988 season, in which he had a 39.9 Netto average.
His Netto average was high considering his average leg strength, as he was renowned as a master of the "coffin corner" punt.
He played college football and graduated from Long Beach State University.
