He is a record producer and has been recording music since 1984. McCarthy has worked as a producer on five albums, from Girls Can Tell until Georgia Georgia Georgia Georgia Georgia, as well as "s Children Running Through, "s "Movie Monster", and …, and The Sun. McCarthy currently lives in Austin, Texas.
