From 1917 taught and did research on civil law. Head, chair of civil law and lecturer, various higher educational establishments. Deputy director, Institute of Law, Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics Academy of Sciences.
Toward end of life worked at Moscow University and Academy of Social Sciences, Communist Party, All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks). Wrote several works on legal control of the national economics.
