From age nine hired laborer. 1873 began work at Tiflis carpentry factory but was dismissed for organizing a strike. Then worked at carpentry shops in Tiflis, Vladikavkaz and Baku.
From 1888 at railroad car shop, Tiflis Main Railroad Workshop. 1895-1898 helped found first illegal Russian Social-Democratic Workers’ Party workers' circles in Tiflis. Several times arrested for revol activities.
From 1910 in exile; 1913 returned from exile and engaged in revol work in Tiflis. 1918 founded Bolshevik cell and rayon Party comt in Tiflis. 1919 arrested by Geo authorities.
From 1920, after establishment of Soviet regime in Geo, member of Centr Control Commission, Communist Party Georgia Member, Geo Central Executive Committee. Member, Transcaucasian SFSR Central Executive Committee.
Collegium member, Geo Supreme Court.
