1928 debut at Leningrad Marionette Theater (now Leningrad Puppet Theater). Later performed at this theater as puppet-master, designer, puppet-maker and producer. From 1936 simultaneously producer and from 1939 artistic director, Leningrad Sovkhoz-Kolkhoz Puppet Theater.
July 1941 headed 1st Front Brigade of Theater Artists. Roles: Gulliver in Dan’ko’s Gulliver v strane liliputov (Gulliver in the Land of Lillipul). Zhigalin and Dymba in Chekhov's Svad’ba (The Wedding), etc: Productions: Goldoni’s "Servant of Two Masters,” et cetera
