1906 indicted for printing articles against autocratic regime in Glekhi: managed to make his way abroad and from 1907 studied lit, art and political economics at the Sorbonne. Traveled throughout Italy, Switzerland, North America, Britain, Belgium. Germany and Turkey; 1909 returned to Geo with a false passport and headed group of writers which began to publish journal Eri journal soon closed down and he himself brought to trial.
Held for twelve months in Metekhi Prison, then banished from Caucasus. After 1917 October Revol resumed lit work. 1917 elected member, Transcaucasian Central Executive Committee.
