1903 graduate zemstvo school. From 1926 took Marxism-Leninism courses in Moscow.
1903 started work at age 12. From 1905 active in revol movement. Several tirhes arrested.
April 1917 helped found Bryansk Russian Social-Democratic Workers’ Party organisation. 1918 deputy chairman, Bryansk Province Extraordinary Commission Against Counterrevolution, Sabotage and Speculation and head. Internal Management Department, Bryansk Province Executive Committee.
1919 elected chairman, Bryansk Province Russian Communist Party (Bolsheviks) Committee. 1920 chairman, Bezhitsa Soviet. From late 1920 member, Zamoskvorech’ye Rayon Party Committee.
1924-1925 worked for Centr Control Commission, Workers and Peasants’ Inspection. After completing MarxismLeninism courses appointed All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks) Centr Control Commission’s deputy plenipotentiary with Centr Asian Bureau, Central Committee, All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks). Member, Turkm Centr Control Commission.
1929-1930 first secretary, Kir Oblast All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks) Committee. Member, Centr Asian Bureau, Central Committee, All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks). 1931-1935 secretary, Zamoskvorech’ye, then Proletarskiy Rayon Moscow Party Committee.
1935-1937 secretary, Moscow City Communist Party of the Soviet Union(B1 Committee. From February 1937 plenipotentiary, Azov-Black Sea Kray Party Control Commission. At 13th Congress elected member, All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks) Centr Control Commission.
At 18th Congress elected candidate member, Central Committee, All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks). 1937 deputy, USSR Supreme Soviet of 1st convocation. October 1938 arrested by State Security organs.
1965 a street in Bryansk was named after him.
