1898 began political career. From 1902 member, Bund Central Committee. 1903 head. Bund deleg at 2nd Russian Social-Democratic Workers’ Party Congress.
After Congress joined Mensheviks. 1907 at 5th Russian Social-Democratic Workers’ Party Congress elected to Central Committee, Russian Social-Democratic Workers’ Party from the Bund. 1907-1910 Menshevik-liquidationist.
1912 active in August anti-Party Bloc. During World War 1 sided with Social- Chauvinists. After 1917 February Revol member, Executive Committee, Petrograd Soviet of Worker and Soldiers’ Deputy and Presidium member, Centr Executive Committee of 1st convocation.
Hostile toward 1917 October Revol. Abandoned political activities. Various admin posts; 1937 arrested by NKWD.
