1930 graduate Moscow Mining Academy.
1916 began working at age 11, 1919 joined Communist Youth League. 1922-1926 worked as a fitter at Samara Pipe Works and attended evening courses at workers’ faculty. 1930-1940 surveyed gold, copper, mica and magnesite deposits in the Urals and Baykal arey.
During World War 2 supervised surveys of new deposits of rare metals prior to industry exploitation. 1944-1948 did admin work for Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics Council of Minister 1949-1954 Collegium member, Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics Ministry of Geology and chairman, AllUnion Commision for Mineral Resources.
From 1954 chairman State Commision for Mineral Resources, Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics Council of Minister
