From 1906 revol work among workers of Izhevsk Arms Factory. Organized an underground printing house. Repeatedly arrested; 1917 member, Executive Committee, Izhevsk Soviet of Workers’ Deputy.
During Kolchak’s offensive member, Izhevsk Revol Committee. 1920 secretary, Vyatka Province Russian Communist Party (Bolsheviks) Committee. 1922 chairman, Kostroma Province Executive Committee.
1927 Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic Deputy People's Commissar of Workers and Peasants’ Inspection. Member and Presidium member, Centr Control Commission. Member, AllRussian and Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics Central Executive Committee.
In latter years exec economics work in Moscow. From 1943 pensioner.
