1904 graduate Sumy Boys' High-School. 1910 graduate Medical Faculty, Khar’kov University.
Assistant professor Chair of Operative Surgery and Topographical Anatomy, Khar’kov University. Simultaneously specialized in clinical surgery under L. V. Orlov at Faculty Surgical Clinic, then at Surgical Department, Khar’kov Province former local government authority Hospital. 1914-1918 military surgeon.
1918-1921 dissector, Chair of Operative Surgery and Topographical Anatomy, Khar’kov University. From 1921 assistant professor from 1926 director, Khar’kov Institute of Medical Mechanical (now Sitenko Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics). 1927-1928 toured clinics in Germany, Italy and Austria.
Created new therapeutic institutions, including a children's orthopedic “prophylactorium" and a “labor prophylactorium”, which were subsequently established in a number of Soviet cities. Founded first Ukraine Chair of Orthopedics and Traumatology at Institute of Postgraduate Medical Training. 1927-1940 founder-ed, journal “Ortopediya i travmatologiya”.
