After graduate, military surgeon in Soviet Army. During World War 2 served with a medical battalion, then ran a field surgery. July 1944 demobilized after being seriously wounded.
From August 1944 chief physician, and surgeon at a rayon hospital. From 1948 chief physician, Vladimir Oblast Bone Tuberculosis Sanatorium. Deputy, Vladimir Oblast Soviet.
From 1953 postgraduate student, Institute of Tuberculosis, Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics acad of Medical Sciences: 1957 defended candidate thesis. April 1960-1967 director, Novosibirsk Tuberculosis Research Institute. Chairman, Novosibirsk Social of Phthisiatrists.
1963 defended doctor’s thesis on surgical methods of restoring damaged functions of tubercular arthritis patients. From January 1966 head Main Board of Tuberculosis Service and Special Sanatoria, Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic Minister of Health, where he established a sci methods council.
Member, ed council, journal “Sovetskaya meditsina”. Board member, All-Russian Social of Phthisiatrists. Wrote over 80 works.
