Best known roles are: Chatsky in Griboedov’s “Gore ot uma” (Woe from Wit). Glumov and Neznamov in Ostrovsky’s “Na vsyakogo mudretsa dovolno prostoty” (Even a Wise Man Stumbles) and “Bez viny vinovatye” (Guilty Without Guilt). Don C£sar de Bazan, in Victor Hugo’s “Ruy Bias”.
Protasov, in Tolstoy's “Zhivoy trup” (The Living Corpse). Yarovoy, in K. Trenev’s “Lyubov Yarovaya”. Schmidt, in K. Simonov’s “Russky vopros” (The Russian Question).
Vent in Virta’s “Zagovor obrechnennykh” (Conspiracy of the Doomed). Borovsky, in B. Lavrenev’s ‘Za tekh kto more” (For Those at Sea). Has acted in films: “Groza” (The Storm).
