Career
Since 1992 Mikkel Rønnow has been Musical Director for more than 20 Danish musical productions, including Chess (Danish premiere), West Side Story, Les Misérables, My Fair Lady, Copacabana (Scandinavian premiere), Grease, Cabaret, Tell Maine on a Sunday, The Sound of Music and Jesus Christ Superstar. In 2004 he produced the award nominated tour of Grease as well as leading the band. In 2005 he conducted Aarhus Theatre"s production of Cabaret with just one week"s notice.
Mikkel Rønnow"s musical direction can be heard on six cast albums, including the internationally acclaimed complete recording of Chess from 2002 as well as Copacabana and Grease.
Their company, Rossen & Rønnow, produced Chess, Copacabana and Les Misérables and sold more than 250.000 tickets for the productions. From 2006 - 2007 he ran his own production company, Pygmalion, which produced a criticcally acclaimed international version of My Fair Lady.
Since 2004 Mikkel Rønnow has been giving master classes in Musical Theatre Performance at musical theatre schools in Sweden and Denmark. ønnow.dk.
