Career
He was born in Veles, in the Kosovo Vilayet of the Ottoman Empire (present-day Republic of Macedonia) in 1877. In 1901, he was ambushed and surrounded by enemy soldiers. In order not to be caught alive, he killed himself.
There is a folk song about People’s Jordanov ("Bolen mi lezhi Mile People’s Yordanov").
Today it is the hymn of the city of Veles.
