He was a partner in the hrm or Cady, Berg & See. Among the early buildings designed by Mr. See and his associates was the old Metropolitan Opera House, opened in 1883, the first building of the American Museum of Natural History facing 77th Street, and the Hudson Street Hospital.
After the turn of the century Mr. See carried on work in association with his son, and during that period planned a number of ecclesiastical buildings, one of which was the Katonah Avenue Church in New York
