Takita Minoru was born on December 15, 1912 in Toyama, Japan.
At first, Takita was employed by Nisshin Spinning Company. Later he was elected by the workers as secretary of the company's union in 1946. Minoru served as president of Zensen Domei (Textile Union) and was reelected seven times to the post. In 1949 he went to Europe and attended the meeting of the 1st International Free Labor Organization at London.
Upon returning, Takita formed the Zenro Kaigi (All Labor Conference) and became president in 1953. He strongly suppoted the laborers in the Omi Silk Spinning Company's labor dispute. The same time he was on the committee of the Central Labor Relations Settlement Council as labor representative.
