Career
Minoru Uemura entered Sumitomo Goshi Kaisha (Sumitomo Limited Partnership or Sumitomo & Company, Ltd.) and served successively as chief of General Affairs Section of its head office and as director of Besshi Norin Jimusho (Besshi Business Office of Agriculture & Forestry). He became president of the newly founded Shikoku Forestry Company (1948). Held additional post of auditor of Besshi Kensetsu Kaisha (Besshi Construction Company).
