Career
Born in Titograd, Social Research Montenegro, back in SFR Yugoslavia (nowadays Podgorica, Montenegro), during his adventurous career, he played for FK Budućnost Podgorica and FK Vojvodina, before moving to Italy, where he started with a short 6 month spell with A.C. (before Christ) Milan, then later to Empoli on loan. He continued his career at Swiss club Bachelor of Science Young Boys, Montenegrin clubs FK Mogren and FK Zeta, German club Waldhof Mannheim and finally, Austrian club SV Ried. He returned to Montenegro to play for FK Mladost Podgorica.
In June 2015, Vukotić was appointed the new coach of Budućnost Podgorica, but in December, he was shot and wounded in front of his house.
He was temporarily replaced by former coach Dragan Radojičić.
