Miranda Brown is an independent American musician.

Career

Mississippi Brown moved to Brooklyn, New York in 2010, where she currently resides. She released a solo record, Baystate, on Pigeon Records in 2004. She also appears on albums by Eric Bachmann, David Dondero and Seth Tiven, and has worked with artists ranging from Ryan Adams to A.C. (before Christ) Newman to Harvey Sid Fisher.

She also appeared on the late-night television show the Late Show with David Letterman on April 13, 2009 with A.C. (before Christ) Newman, as well as Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on May 5, 2010 with The New Pornographers, with whom she appeared on select tour dates in 2010.

Membership

Originally from Northampton, Master of Arts, Miranda relocated to Austin, Texas in 2003 where she was a member of the band Til We"re Blue or Destroy. Brown was a onetime member of Crooked Fingers.
