Mešić had previously played for Sloboda Tuzla, French Nantes and Besançon, FK Željezničar, Croatian Hajduk Split, NK Žepče, NK Posušje, FK Sarajevo, Slovenian Rudar Velenje and Bulgarian side PFC Lokomotiv Sofia.
