Ko was born and raised in Queens, New York and attended Brooklyn Technical High School, where she began writing lyrics and rapping. Successively, she graduated from Five Towns College as valedictorian with a Bachelor in Music Business.

Ko has since released her sophomore album, XXXIII (33) and collaborated with major acts such as Military Cross Hot Dog, Khalil Fong, Crowd Lu and A-mei. In 2010, she moved to Taiwan to study Mandarin at National Taiwan Normal University. While enrolled there, she entered a songwriting contest in which her teacher uploaded her song onto YouTube.
After several record deal offers, she signed with Kao Incorporated Records.
However, on November 1, 2011, Ko was involved in a near fatal accident in which she broke her jaw and halted all recording for several months. During that time, she finished writing "Knock Out" and attributes her success to the experience.
Ko lists Lauryn Hill, Tupac, and A Tribe Called Quest as her musical inspirations. Philanthropy
In June 2015, Ko released a music video speaking against domestic violence inspired from personal experience.
The video currently has over 19,000 shares on Facebook.
