His last grandson JAGATH VALLABHAI MISSULA Post graduated from National Institute of Technology, Bhopal and worked at IIT Hyderabad and GITAM UNIVERSITY, VISAKHAPATNAM.
He has 4 grandsons, namely Mvs Murthy s/o Military Medal Rao, Vijaya Ram South/o MVM Rao, Missula Venkata Aditya Rohini Krishna South/O M.Surya Narayana and Missula Jagath Vallabhai South/O M. Surya Narayana, who all abide in Visakhapatnam.After Some years Kartik & Meghana were Born to MVS Murthy & M Shanti. His journal articles were published in IJECCE and IJERA JOURNALS. At present he is pursuing Doctor of Philosophy from IIT Guwahati. Murthi graduated with a B.SC. in Chemistry and researched activated carbon from agricultural refuse and sugar technology while working in the sugar plant located near Anakapalli.
He was president of Visakhapatnam District Congress Committee from 1942 to 1946 and from 1953 to 1957.
Surprisingly, even though he was elected repeatedly, he lived in a hut till the end of his life. He sold most of his inheritance for the sake of servicing others
Before entering into politics, he was the President of Kondakarla, Atchutapuaram Mandal. He established development techniques including Harijan (outcaste) development and a cooperative society in his Kondakarla for educating deprived students.
He wore Khadi clothes his entire life.
Is an Indian politician and Member of Parliament. He was a member of Pradesh Congress Committee afte 1945. He was elected to the 2nd Lok Sabha from Golugonda Constituency in 1957 and 3rd Lok Sabha and 4th Lok Sabha from Anakapalli constituency in 1962 and 1967 respectively as a member of Indian National Congress.
