Miyakichi Ono studied at the Sapporo Agriculture School.
Miyakichi Ono joined the Tsukiji Little Theater of Kaoru Osanai. He rapidly became a star of shingeki, or new drama. He later joined the Proletarian Arts League (1926) and became a member of the Zen-eiza and Sayoku (Left-Wing) Theater companies. He was jailed (1932) for his activities to promote the proletarian theater.
